IDF to resume operations in Gaza unless Hamas releases hostages

Israel will resume military operations in the Gaza Strip if Hamas does not release the second group of hostages by midnight, Israeli television Channel 12 reported on Saturday, citing a source.

According to the channel's source, all Hamas claims that Israel allegedly violated the agreement "are false."

The TV channel notes that Israel has fulfilled all the terms of the deal, and the Hamas accusations only “embarrass the mediators represented by Egypt and Qatar.”

Shortly before this, the military wing of the Palestinian Hamas movement, the Al-Qassam Brigades, announced a delay in the release of the second group of Israeli hostages until Israel complied with the terms of the truce agreement “regarding the entry of humanitarian aid trucks into the northern Gaza Strip, and will comply with agreed standards for the release of prisoners."
