Kremlin: NATO uses Ukrainians as ritual victims

The North Atlantic Alliance is sacrificing the people of Ukraine to contain Russia. This statement was made by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.

The Kremlin representative also recalled that NATO was initially created for confrontation with Russia.

    “It was conceived, and its architecture was built in such a way that it is essentially an instrument of confrontation and an instrument of containment of our country  the main purpose of this alliance, as we see it, lies precisely in this,” Peskov said.

In his opinion, the leadership of the Alliance sees the real state of affairs, and the Ukrainians themselves are used by NATO as ritual victims. 

The Russian leader’s press secretary noted that Moscow understands this very well, therefore “they are building a further line of action precisely in accordance with these realities.”
