76 thousand people were evacuated from the border areas of the Kursk region - Ministry of Emergency Situations

Over 76 thousand residents were evacuated from the border areas of the Kursk region to safer places, said Artem Sharov, official representative of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations at the interdepartmental operational headquarters.

He noted that an interdepartmental operational headquarters has been deployed in Kursk to provide assistance to the population in the border areas of the Kursk region and its priority work is “the resettlement of residents of these areas” to safe places.

 “In total, since the beginning of this work, more than 76 thousand people have been temporarily resettled to safe places,” Sharov said.
