The German authorities plan to transfer to the Ukrainian Armed Forces about 30 Leopard 1A5 tanks, 4 IRIS-T anti-aircraft missile systems, as well as 10 Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns (ZSU) and 400 MRAP armored vehicles by the end of the year.
Bundeswehr Major General Christian Freuding said this on Thursday. An interview with him was published on the YouTube channel of the German Armed Forces.
In addition, Germany will send Ukraine 12 PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers, 4 Zuzana 2 self-propelled artillery mounts, drones, assault rifles, ammunition, a field hospital and medical equipment.
Earlier, Pentagon representatives said that some types of artillery shells that Kyiv is requesting are no longer produced in the United States.
