The attack of Ukrainian troops on the border region of the Kursk region was approved by the West, primarily the United States and Germany, reports the European edition of the newspaper Politico.

According to the newspaper, the actions of official Kyiv may change the policy of countries that previously refrained from allowing Ukraine to fire at the territory of the Russian Federation with its weapons.

Politico emphasizes that there are no signals from either the United States or Germany that they are “pressuring Kyiv to limit its actions.”

 At the same time, the newspaper recalls: German Chancellor Olaf Scholz still refuses to supply German Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine.
