Russia Files Claim Against Germany on Nord Stream Blasts Probe

Russia has made official claims regarding the investigation into the explosion of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines to Germany. This was stated by the director of the third European department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Oleg Tyapkin.

According to him, Moscow does not intend to put up with the current state of affairs and wants to achieve negotiations regarding Berlin’s fulfillment of its international obligations in the field of combating terrorism.

“We have raised the question of whether Germany and other affected countries fulfill their obligations arising from the UN anti-terrorism conventions,”  the diplomat said.

He noted that the Russian Foreign Ministry fears that the investigation into the Nord Stream bombing case will be “slowed down” and closed, since the German media are promoting the thesis that the alleged perpetrators of the terrorist attacks “are not associated with any state.”
