The President of the Czech Republic called on Ukraine to come to terms with the fact of loss of territories

Czech President Petr Pavel called on Ukraine to look realistically at its conflict with Russia and said that the most likely option for ending it would be for Kiev to recognize the partially lost territories.

In an interview with The New York Times, Petr Pavel, a former NATO general who openly supported Ukraine, emphasized that such a process could continue for quite a long time.

“The most likely outcome of the war will be that part of Ukrainian territory will temporarily be under Russian occupation. “This is a temporary phenomenon” that could last for years, he told the newspaper.

In addition, the Czech leader focused on the world community’s fatigue from the Ukrainian conflict, demanding that this fact be taken into account.
