Negotiating teams from the Colombian government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, guerrilla group will announce a new peace agreement here in the coming hours, a spokesman for the rebels' delegation to the talks told EFE Saturday.
The two sides spent nine days in Havana discussing proposals submitted by opponents of a previous deal, which was narrowly rejected by Colombians in an Oct. 2 plebiscite.
The two delegations to the talks are to announce the latest development at a joint press conference at 5:00 pm (2200 GMT) Saturday.
