Dozens of firefighters are battling a major fire at a waste recycling center in north London. Around 500 tons of mixed waste were alight on Thursday morning in a single-story bay on Nobel Road, Edmonton.
London Fire Brigade said ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters were responding to the blaze, The Evening Standard reported.
Huge plumes of black smoke were sent high into the sky. One person posted a dramatic video of a large column of smoke from the North Circular.
Residents in the local area have been advised to keep doors and windows shut due to the amount of smoke being produced.
