California governor declares state of emergency to battle wildfire

California governor declares state of emergency
California's Governor Jerry Brown declared Tuesday a state of emergency in Ventura County in the western U.S. state as a fast moving brush fire exploded to around 45,500 acres, destroying hundreds of homes and prompting 27,000 people to evacuate.

A new report prepared by Human Rights Watch calls on the Turkish authorities to “reinstate safeguards” that have been discarded by the state of emergency decree laws, thus paving the way for torture and maltreatment of detainees in Turkish jails.

87 Turkish intelligence MİT personnel dismissed over links to Gülen

Some 87 out of 141 suspended Turkish intelligence personnel were dismissed on Sept. 27, as investigations over their suspected links to the Fethullahsit Terror Organization (FETÖ) reached an end for 100 of the suspended officials.
