EU pledges $182M more for Greek island refugee camps

The EU on Monday called the situation of refugee camps in the Greek islands unacceptable and pledged an additional €155 million ($182 million) for the building of the two new camps on Lesbos and Chios.

Grèce: le "cocktail migratoire" devient explosif sur les îles

Désespoir des migrants, mobilisation de l'extrême droite, manque de soutien européen : les ingrédients sont réunis en Grèce pour rendre explosif le cocktail migratoire sur les îles où plus de 16.000 exilés sont bloqués par l'accord UE-Turquie. Après Lesbos et Samos ces dernières semaines, la tension a gagné depuis mercredi l'île de Chios.

Chios island camp in Greece attacked. Greek police said the four were three Algerian teenagers and an Iranian man.

Unidentified assailants have thrown petrol bombs, fireworks and stones at migrants' tents in Souda, on the Greek island of Chios, forcing about 150 people to flee.
