Russian officials said on Tuesday they shot down at least 15 drones around Moscow overnight in a wave of attacks that set residential buildings on fire, killed a nine-year-old child and forced more than 30 flights in the capital to be suspended.
More than 60 drones were also downed over Russia’s southwestern region of Bryansk, which borders Ukraine and the Lipetsk region in Russia’s south, regional governors said. There was no damage or casualties reported there.
A 9-year-old child was killed and another person was injured in a drone strike in Ramenskoye, Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyov reported.
"Unfortunately, a 9-year-old child was killed. Another drone hit a building damaging an apartment on the 9th floor. All services have gone to the scene. One person was injured," he wrote om his Telegram channel.

According to the governor, apartments in a residential building in Sportivny Proyezd in Ramenskoye are burning in the area of the 11th and 12th floors.

Firefighters are putting out the fire, an ambulance and intensive care units are on duty near the house, the head of the region added.

Всего в ночь на 10 сентября было ликвидировано более 10 украинских дронов в подмосковных городских округах Подольск, Раменское, Люберцы, Домодедово и Коломна.

Russian air defense systems have intercepted and eliminated 144 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over nine Russian regions overnight, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Ранее стало известно, что жительница подмосковного города Раменское погибла в результате атаки украинского беспилотника на жилой дом.
