“The fact is that militarily Russia is invincible,” said Kassym-Zhormart Tokayev. This was reported by the press service of the President of Kazakhstan.
According to him, further escalation will lead to irreparable consequences for all countries directly involved in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
He expressed regret that the chance to achieve a truce during negotiations in Istanbul in March 2022 was missed.
“But the opportunity to achieve peace still exists,” Tokayev said.
He noted that it is necessary to consider all peaceful initiatives and come to a decision to stop hostilities, and then discuss territorial issues.
